A research and advocacy journey led by Nia Z. Harper, Doula, Advocate, and Third-Generation Healer.
This November, I will travel to Liberia as part of a delegation chosen by the Georgia Community Doula Coalition to connect climate justice with maternal health. My journey into this work is both personal and professional. I come from a family of physicians and healers, yet when I became a mother, no one warned me about postpartum depression. That silence shaped my mission to ensure mothers are not left unseen, unheard, or unsupported. Through my work as a Full Spectrum Doula along with my knowledge of economic development, land stewardship, and biotechnology, I unite cultural preservation and maternal wellness.
Your contributions will cover travel, lodging, and documentation. Every gift helps carry ancestral wisdom and research forward.
